Washing Instructions: We recommend that all Down and Feather products should be dry cleaned only. If cleaned in a washing machine, Down and feathers will curl into balls when dried. Over time they will loose much of their effectiveness. This is the same for all natural products, don't be fooled by claims that natural feathers can be machine washable when they have been treated with chemicals to keep them straight when wet/washed. The delicate nature of down means it should be dry cleaned, even when treated, to ensure it keeps its fluffiness and therefore warmth and snugness. If you do decide to use a washing machine a 30 degrees wool wash is recommended. Local soiling maybe sponged. It is not recommended to hoover the Duck Feather Duvets. Air regularly and shake to restore loft. This ensures that the Duck Feathers and Down are rotated thus keeping them separated leaving gaps for air to breath through the duvet and retain warmth at a comfortable level. |
